Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub is a family restaurant and sports pub located two blocks from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.  Owned by a former NHL defenseman, it's a popular spot for lunch, dinner and after-the-game.

Ambience: We pay homage to the greatest names to ever play hockey.  A vast collection of more than 400 hockey photos and memorabilia pack the exposed brick walls – because although we love all sports, we absolutely love all things hockey. Hockey to us, has always been the most beautiful word in the English language.

Menu: Love options?  Our menu gives you plenty. We have entrees, burgers and sandwiches to please every palette. We have home made soups, generous salads and a large selection of appetizers. Our walleye is worth mentioning -- and the French-Canadian classic poutine is all the rage.

We also have options when it comes to watching sports on TV. Come and watch your game, whatever it may be.  We have 35 HD TVs so if it’s on TV, it’s on at Tom Reid’s.

Bar: We feature craft, import, domestic and Toms' favorite Canadian beers on tap, as well as other bottled selections and specialty drinks. Wines by the glass or bottle.

Patio: Take it outside at Tom Reid’s. Our outdoor patio is a great gathering place.

Tom Reid

In Minnesota hockey, Tom Reid is one of the most well-known and well-liked. That's because he has been active in the State of Hockey for five decades, as a player, a business owner and volunteer in the community.

Tom played 743 games in the NHL. He played nine seasons with the Minnesota North Stars (1969-1978) and two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks (1967-1969).  After his playing career, Tom spent 20 years as color analyst for the Minnesota North Stars, Gopher hockey, NCAA and the Minnesota high school hockey tournament.  He has been with the Minnesota Wild broadcast team since their inaugural season in 2000 and Tom Reid’s Hockey City Pub opened just prior to the Wild’s first season.

The name Tom Reid comes up in hockey trivia all the time – as the only player to score on a penalty shot on Hall of Fame goaltender Ken Dryden of the Montreal Canadiens October 14, 1971. How did Tom get the penalty shot? Tom was coming out of the penalty box on a clearing attempt by his team mates found him alone at center ice. – The rest is history!

We have designed a private room opening onto a gorgeous patio complete with fire place and lighted pillars for your comfort. Check out our flower boxes which enhance the beauty of our new space.

Being on the Walnut Street side of West 7th and Walnut, allows you to sit in an environment free from the hustle, noise and dust that arises from the traffic flowing on one of St Paul’s busiest streets.

Our new bar area which seats 50 guests, opens onto the patio with 30 feet of folding glass doors so you can always openness of this establishment. Out patio seats 70 and you will get a chance to enjoy the in-floor heat as the weather cools down.

On the deck you can enjoy the sunshine from early morning until late afternoon. Plus we have numerous umbrellas for those who prefer a little shade.
